US Open 1st Round: Defending Champ Djokovic Makes Dominant Start


Novak Djokovic had an easy start to his US Open title defence, beating Roberto Carballes Baena 6-4 6-1 6-4 at Flushing Meadows.

Roger Federer rallied from a set down against Grand Slam debutant Sumit Nagal in the US Open first round. Nagal became the first Indian to win a set against the Swiss maestro.

18-year-old American Jenson Brooksby captured his first Grand Slam win by beating former Wimbledon finalist Tomas Berdych 6-1, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.
